| Accessing documents or programs you use frequently is made easy by putting a shortcut on your desktop. Here's how. |
| Step 1 | On a blank area of your desktop, click with your RIGHT mouse button. | |
| Step 2 | From the from the menu that appears select NEW, then SHORTCUT. | |
| Step 3 | A pop up box appears | |
| Step 4 | Click the Browse button on the pop up box. | ![]() |
| Step 5 | When
this pop up box appears,
click on the drop down tab as indicated and change the selection to ALL Files. |

| Step 6 | Using
the slider control
navigate to the folder containing your document or program. |

| Step 7 | When
you have located the folder, double click on it to open it.
Your files are now visible. |

| Step 8 | Double
click the file you want.
You will be returned to the original pop up box. The file you have select should appear in the Command Line input box. Click the Next button at the bottom right of the pop up box. |

| Step 9 | In the
Select a name for the shortcut input box type a meaningful
name for the shortcut ( but keep it short)
Now click the Finish button. |

| Step 10 | Your shortcut now appears on the desktop. |
